Bat Walk and Xplorer

Bat Walk

The Bat Walk on 27th September was very successful, with over 80 people coming along to hear all sorts of fascinating Bat facts, followed by a walk round the gardens. The talk was given at Crosby Lakeside by ‘H’ from the Merseyside and West Lancashire Bat Group.

The children provided many challenging questions. No, bats are not blind, and yes Vampire Bats really do exist were some of the facts we learned.

H then led the group through all four of the Seafront Gardens in search of the real thing. The bats were shy to show their faces but many of them were heard clearly on the sonar devices. All in all a very enjoyable and informative evening.
