Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Scarecrow Festival a success. We had a wonderful day with over 1000 visitors. We even had the sun!

Mr TickleThere are way too many to people to mention who contributed to the success of the day: all the stall holders, attractions, performances and volunteer helpers. Also a big thank you to everyone who responded to our requests for donations – we now have enough books to keep our bookstall going for the next year!

On behalf of the rest of our Committee I'd also like to give special thanks to Rosemary, our Chair, who has been our organisational rock and worked hard to bring it all together into a brilliant event.

Mary PoppinsThe quality of Scarecrow competition entries was fantastic this year and the judges had their work cut out trying to choose between them.

In third place we had the BFG - easily the tallest scarecrow we've ever had - from Team Swainbank And in second place we had Mr Tickle by James and Isabelle. Mr Tickle sat on the bench all afternoon and had lots of photos taken with his arms wrapped around people!

And the winner was Mary Poppins from the 12th Crosby Beaver/Cub/Scout group, which was brilliant.
