Waterloo Regeneration Grant Application

Watch the video below.

Waterloo is bidding to become a "Portas Pilot". Towns and cities across England are being handed the chance to breathe new life into their high streets through a competition launched by retail guru Mary Portas and Local Government Minister Grant Shapps. We're in the second round of bidding to become a Portas Pilot and receive funding worth up to £100,000 along with expert advice from Mary Portas herself.

As part of the bid, applicants were asked to put together a short film explaining why they wanted to become a Portas Pilot - and this is Waterloo's submission for our place, 'A gem without sparkle', featuring the Anthony Gormley 'iron men' that we have at one end of our high street - and our enthusiastic community. We know what we want to do, and we'll do it together.
