All are welcome to our litter picks which are held on the second Saturday of the month throughout the year.
During the summer months there will be an extra session on the fourth Saturday. Arrangements for the extra summer session will be announced here and on our Facebook page.

Volunteer Update and Activities: June 2026
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered in the Waterloo Seafront Gardens during May. There were 10 of us who litter picked in Marine Garden and beyond, and at our three gardening sessions we had a total of 35 volunteers.
Thanks to everyone who came along to litter picking today. We had a good clean of Marine and Crescent Gardens. Just a reminder for all visitors now the weather is getting better – please remember to bin your litter or take it home. There were areas in both Gardens where people had left lots of bottles and cups behind. Bin them or take them home.
The Sunday session was spent weeding the raised bed in Crescent Garden. We continued path edging on the Tuesday session and were joined by 6 volunteers from DBO accountancy. On the Wednesday session we were joined by 5 volunteers from Government Commercial Agency and worked on the paths around the central bed.
Thanks to everyone who came along to Wednesday’s gardening session. Lovely warm day we had out there. Our own volunteers, along with extra help from our regular corporate group at Government Commercial Agency, cleared weeds from the central paths near the raised bed and also completely de-weeded the entire steps.. Well done everyone!
We know that with all the visitors coming to the area during the good weather over the recent Bank Holiday and half term holiday, many people have been litter picking off their own bat too – thank you to everyone who has helped to keep the Gardens and surrounding area as litter free as possible!
We hope to hold a Book Sale on Saturday 6th June starting at 11.00am opposite the Waterloo Sunset Cafe. This is weather permitting, so fingers crossed the forecast improves by then! Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates nearer the time.
Our regular volunteer sessions during June will take place on the following dates:
Tuesday 9th June – Garden Maintenance at 10.00am in Crescent Garden
Saturday 13th June – Litter Picking at 10.30am in Crescent Garden
Wednesday 24th June – Garden Maintenance at 1.00pm in Crescent Garden
All equipment, and refreshments will be provided.
