Litter Pick Schedule 2026
All are welcome to our litter picks which are held on the second Saturday of the month throughout the year. Sessions start at 10.30 a.m. and generally last an hour.

Volunteer Update and Activities: July 2026
Thank you to all who’ve volunteered in the Waterloo Seafront Gardens during June.
We had 12 at our litter pick in Crescent Garden in very windy conditions.
Thanks to the volunteers who came to help with litter picking on Saturday. The wind made it quite challenging to keep the litter in the bags! But we managed it! Thanks everyone
9 volunteers at our Tuesday garden maintenance session when we were joined by 6 extra helpers from accountancy company BDO.
Big thanks to our regular volunteers and the team from BDO accountancy who came along to help yesterday. We spent the day working in Crescent Garden and transformed another pathway including the wall and old seating area. Well done everyone!
We only had one garden maintenance session in June as our Sunday session clashed with other commitments on Father’s Day, and we cancelled the Wednesday session because of the predicted high temperatures. Although there is some shelter in the gardens, we felt it wasn’t appropriate to be out working in temperatures around 30 degrees.
Our volunteer sessions during July will take place on:
Saturday 11th July – Litter Picking at 10.30am in Adelaide Garden
Tuesday 14th July – Garden Maintenance at 10.00am in Crescent Garden
Sunday 19th July – Garden Maintenance at 2.00pm in Beach Lawn
Wednesday 22nd July – Garden Maintenance at 1.00pm in Crescent Garden
All gardening and litter picking equipment will be provided, as well as refreshments!
