All are welcome to our litter picks which are held on the second Saturday of the month throughout the year.
During the summer months there will be an extra session on the fourth Saturday. Arrangements for the extra summer session will be announced here and on our Facebook page.

Volunteer Update and Activities: January 2025
The Friends of Waterloo Seafront Gardens would like to wish a Happy New Year to all our volunteers, members and friends.
Had a busy weekend!
Thanks to everyone who came along to help with our last litter picking session of the year on Saturday.
We had 13 volunteers so were able to cover Marine, Crescent and Adelaide Garden.
We also started some winter pruning on the raised bed in Crescent Garden and hope to continue this in the New Year.
Weather permitting, we will be starting our regular volunteer sessions next week – and these will take place on the following days each month:
Litter Picking – 2nd Saturday at 10.30am
Garden Maintenance – 2nd Tuesday at 10.00am
Garden Maintenance – 3rd Sunday at 2.00pm and
Garden Maintenance – 4th Wednesday at 1.00pm (or 7.00pm in the summer)
The venues will change, so please keep a watch out for our monthly updates. If the weather is looking doubtful, please check our Facebook page for updates – but even if the event is cancelled, one of the Committee will always attend, just in case!!
Our volunteer sessions during January 2025 will therefore take place on:
Saturday 11th meeting at 10.30am in Adelaide Garden
Tuesday 14th meeting at 10.00am in Adelaide Garden
Sunday 19th meeting at 2.00pm in Beach Lawn and
Wednesday 22nd meeting at 1.00pm in Adelaide Garden
All equipment will be provided, as well as hot drinks and refreshments.
