Thank you to everyone who joined us to volunteer in the Waterloo Seafront Gardens during April.
There were 10 of us at a very windy litter pick at the Children’s Play Park, and at our 3 garden maintenance sessions we had 8,9 and 10 volunteers respectively. We worked on weeding the round bed in Adelaide Garden, giving it a good covering of bark mulch and continued our task of edging the pathways in Crescent Garden.
At our Wednesday session we were also joined by 5 volunteers from BDO, an accountancy firm, who made a fantastic effort and we were able to complete edging the whole of one of the pathways linking the bottom and top paths. Before and after photos below:
Our volunteer sessions during May will take place on:
Saturday 9th – Litter picking at 10.30am meeting in Marine Garden
Tuesday 12th – Garden Maintenance meeting at 10.00am in Crescent Garden
Sunday 17th – Garden Maintenance meeting at 2.00pm in Crescent Garden and
Wednesday 27th – Garden Maintenance meeting at 1.00pm in Crescent Garden
All equipment will be provided, as well as hot refreshments and biscuits.
Best wishes,
Janet Markland
